Bent or Misaligned Tracks — Realigned, Replaced, or Re-Anchored
Tracks bend when a car backs into them, when an opener forces a stuck door, or when bolts vibrate loose over years. A door running on misaligned tracks will bind, rub paint off the panels, and eventually pop a roller out — at which point you have a much bigger repair on your hands. We realign, re-anchor, or replace tracks same-day.
Symptoms of track problems
- Door is binding or sluggish at one section of travel
- Visible gap between roller and track
- Track is dented, kinked, or pulled away from the wall
- Paint scrape marks on the panels at track level
- Door jumps or shudders during operation
- Track bolts are loose or missing
Realign vs. replace
Most track issues are realignment jobs — we loosen the lag bolts, gently bend the track back into plumb with our straightening tools, and re-anchor with new lags into solid framing. Realignment runs $175–$275. If the track is kinked or twisted past 1/4″ tolerance, we replace that section ($300–$450). Vertical, horizontal, and curve sections are all available; we never replace what doesn\’t need it.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before booking a service.
Can I realign the track myself?
We don't recommend it — getting it perfectly plumb takes practice, and the door will bind if it's even 1/8" off.
Will the door look the same after track replacement?
Yes. Track is hardware, not visible from outside. The door panels are unaffected.
