New Garage Door Installation — Beautiful Doors, Honest Pricing, Lifetime Hardware
A new garage door is the single home upgrade with the highest resale ROI — typically 90%+ recoup. It\’s also the largest moving piece of equipment in your house, and you only buy one every 20 years, so it\’s worth doing right. Eastwood installs Clopay, Amarr, CHI, Wayne Dalton, and custom carriage doors with a lifetime warranty on the hardware we install.
Door styles we install
- Traditional steel raised-panel: the workhorse. Insulated, low-maintenance, paintable. $1,100–$1,800.
- Carriage house: looks like swing-out wood doors but operates like a sectional. $1,800–$3,200.
- Modern flush / aluminum-and-glass: contemporary aesthetic, full-view glass options. $2,400–$4,500.
- Wood and wood-overlay: hand-stained mahogany, cedar, or composite-wood overlay on a steel core. $3,000–$8,000+.
- Custom carriage: hand-built to spec for historic homes or custom builds. $4,500+.
Insulation — why it matters even in mild climates
R-value (insulation rating) matters more than people think. Even in mild climates, an insulated door reduces noise transfer, cuts AC load if your garage shares a wall with conditioned space, and pays for itself within 3 years through energy savings. We default to R-13 (3-layer construction) for residential doors. R-18 is available for heated garages and northern climates.
What\’s included in our install price
- Removal and disposal of old door, hardware, and tracks
- New door panels with manufacturer warranty
- New torsion springs (matched to door weight)
- New galvanized aircraft cables
- New nylon sealed-bearing rollers
- New track and lag hardware
- New weather seal at sides and bottom
- Door balance, opener test, walk-through with the homeowner
- Lifetime warranty on all hardware we install
If your installer is quoting “the door” without specifying springs, cables, rollers, and track — get that in writing. Old hardware on a new door fails fast.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before booking a service.
How long does a new door install take?
Single door: 4–6 hours. Double door: 6–8 hours. We do most installs in one day.
Will I need to repaint the trim?
Sometimes. Old door trim may have weather damage exposed when we remove the door. We can recommend painters and door-frame replacement if needed.
Can you install a door I bought separately?
We install doors we sell — that way the warranty stays clean. Buying a door at a big-box store and hiring an installer separately usually voids manufacturer warranties when something goes wrong.
How much does it cost to add an opener at install time?
Add $480–$650 for a 3/4 HP belt-drive with smartphone connectivity, installed at the same visit. Cheaper than a separate trip.
